Felix Neck's Fall Festival Memories

Small boy dressed as a scarecrow at Felix Neck's annual Fall Fest

Fall is here! Crisp air, changing leaves, and pumpkins are all signs of this wonderful season. This year is not like any other, yet fall carries on bringing with it fond memories of years past.

For Felix Neck, a highlight of our year is the Fall Festival held annually the Friday after Thanksgiving. For 40 years, this event has been a joyful gathering bringing the community and nature together for a full day of fun. Unfortunately, it is with sad hearts—but with the safety of our festival goers, volunteers, friends, and staff in mind—that we have to cancel our in-person event.

Instead, let us look back and reminisce on years past!

Can't imagine a Thanksgiving without a visit to Felix Neck? Thankfully, you don't have to! Because Mass Audubon is holding a statewide Hike-a-thon event from Friday, November 27 through Sunday, November 29.

What better way to give thanks and give back than by spending time in nature? The goal of Hike-a-thon is to get as many people as possible outside the weekend after Thanksgiving to see for themselves just how powerful time outdoors can be for our physical and mental health.

Anyone can join Hike-a-thon from anywhere! And all types of hikes are encouraged—from a stroll around the neighborhood to trying out a universally-accessible All Persons Trail to taking on a challenging summit hike. The trails at Felix Neck are open every day from dawn to dusk.

There's no charge to participate in Hike-a-thon. But by donating $10 or more, you'll help provide support for the sanctuary, our year-round activities, and our mission to serve our nature-loving community!
