Youth Climate Summit 2019/2020

Students brainstorming ideas at the 2018-2019 Youth Climate Summit

Saturday, November 23

Climate change is an issue of justice. Vulnerable communities are affected the most and young people will soon bear the harsh consequences of this climate crisis. Join our Youth Leaders for Climate Justice to help design a better future!

Students will participate in a dynamic, full-day Learning Summit on Saturday, November 23, then have five months to develop and implement their climate action projects with support and coaching from Mass Audubon, culminating in a Community Showcase in April.

Get a group together and make a difference locally and globally by working together to combat climate change!

Youth Climate Summit 2018

Perfect for high school groups and classes such as:

  • Environmental groups and green teams
  • Civics or science classes looking for project based learning opportunities
  • Groups of students who are passionate about climate change
  • Afterschool clubs or others looking for a long-term community project

Students will leave the program with the skills, knowledge and inspiration to take effective action for climate justice in their communities; an increased knowledge of the science of climate change, and a better understanding of how to be involved in local government.
