Broadmoor Nature Camp | Philosophy & Credentials
At Broadmoor Nature Camp, discovery takes center stage. Campers are encouraged to explore and appreciate the miracles and mysteries of our natural world. Through hands-on learning, they come to understand their place in nature as well as the importance of preserving it.
Our camp culture includes the use of fun, nature-related staff names to promote an atmosphere of creativity and "camp magic." Campers may choose to adopt a nature-based alter-ego as well!
On the first day of each session, campers gather together in a Welcome Circle to share ideas for how they can collectively create a great camp experience by respecting themselves, each other, and nature. We also recite a simple pledge that reflects these values:
“I pledge allegiance to the Earth,
and all the life that she provides.
One planet, interconnected,
with beauty and peace for all.”
Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary has more than 40 years of experience connecting children to nature through camp, school and public programming. We are proud of our reputation of running a safe, organized educational program where each child matters.
We are licensed by the Natick Board of Health and comply with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation
We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this nationally recognized program requires that we meet up to 300 standards linked to program quality, health and safety, management, and camp operations.
