Get up-close and personal with some of our local owl species, or go on a night hike around the sanctuary to listen for owls.

All About Owls for Families

For ages 3-6 • 10:00 am, 11:00 am

Learn about owls through a story, discover how to move like owls, touch real owl wings, and find out what sounds owls make. Plus, you'll also get to meet one live owl up-close! 

This 45-minute program is specifically designed for families with young children (ages 3-6). Preregistration is required.

Up Close & Personal with the Owls of Broadmoor

All ages 7 & up • 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm

Come face-to-face with some of our local owl species, including Great Horned and Eastern Screech owls. 

This 1-hour program is designed for adults, teens, and families with older children (ages 7 & up). Preregistration is required.

Owl Prowl for Adults

Saturday, February 1 • 7:00–8:30 pm

Do all owls really hoot? Why can't we hear them fly? Join us as we learn about our local owls and walk through fields and forests under moon and starlight listening for our resident owls. If we're lucky, we'll hear Eastern Screech, Barred, and Great Horned owls!

This program involves walking over uneven terrain without the use of flashlights. Preregistration is required.
