Looking for a unique birthday experience for your child? Boston Nature Center birthday parties are a great way for children to experience a personalized nature program in a beautiful wildlife sanctuary.

During the party, children will spend time discovering the outdoors through observation, exploration, and hands-on activities. There is also plenty to do indoors if the weather is inclement.

Please Note: To keep wildlife safe, we do not allow any balloons or dogs on sanctuary property.

Party Themes

Choose from one of our popular birthday party themes. We are also happy to design a nature program around the interest of your child!

Year-Round

Five Senses

Listen like a coyote or use your eyesight like a hawk on a fun interactive hike through the forest. Learn how your five senses compare to the wildlife around us.

Animal Adaptations

Play fun trail games and take a closer look at nature artifacts, while learning about wildlife that call Boston home.

Beaks, Feet & Wings

Take a closer at birds while learning to use binoculars as we search the forest and wetlands for these feathered friends. Look at bird beaks and then use tools to try to eat like a bird.

Fairies & Gnomes

Discover the magic of nature and your imagination as we find special nature items to build gnome homes (or fairy homes or toad homes)!

Predator & Prey

Take part in nature tag games and examine skulls and teeth to understand how animals survive in the wild.

Art and Nature

Create an outdoor sculpture or other art project using inspiration from nature and materials found in the wild.

Fall/Spring

Under a Log

Whether you like butterflies or pillbugs, we will have fun finding insects and other critters with bug nets in meadows and under logs in the forest.

Nuts About Squirrels

We will scamper through the woods looking for signs of squirrels and play fun games to find out more about these furry animals!

Fall Foliage or Springtime Blooms

Join us for a plant safari as we learn about fall colors or spring seedlings. Take home a craft made with seeds!

Winter

Nature Detectives

Follow the tracks and signs left behind by animal visitors to discover the animals that live at the BNC.

Sammy the Snake

Visit with BNC’s resident reptile to learn about cold-blooded creatures and why they are so important to the ecosystem.

Winter Wonders

With fun games and cold weather experiments discover how animals survive the cold with the science of winter.
