Arcadia camp staff jumping

Our Camp Staff

Counselors are chosen for their enthusiasm, experience, nature knowledge, and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting. They are college graduates or undergraduates who are either professionals or students in the environmental or educational fields.

All staff undergo background checks and are certified in CPR and first aid.

Camp Director – Patti Steinman

Patti Steinman, Arcadia Nature Camp Director

Camp Director Patti Steinman has been part of the Mass Audubon family for more than 25 years, both as a teacher and an administrator. She has an M.S. degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England.

During the camp day, Patti often can be found playing games with the campers, telling stories, or canoeing with the Great Blue Herons—identifiable by her ever-present bear hat.

What Others are Saying . . .

“Arcadia is a summer highlight each year. They particularly enjoy hiking and think the counselors are amazing.”

“Every year the camp gets better and better because the staff never stops striving or caring. They are motivated to share their love of nature with the next generation.”
