Welcome Our New TerraCorps Member, Jenna Shea!

TerraCorps team member Jenna Shea

Jenna Shea is a TerraCorps member who will be serving Mass Audubon and The Wareham Land Trust as a Community Engagement and Land Stewardship Coordinator for the 2020-2021 service year.

Through this role, she will work to maintain and enhance these organization's sites, and work to cultivate the Wareham community's connection to their natural areas.

A native of Plymouth, MA, Jenna recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with degrees in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Conservation. She participated in studies ranging from the fish and invertebrates around mangrove forests to the bees on cranberry bogs. This research helped Jenna learn about the intricacies of the systems we live in, as well as the importance of sharing scientific knowledge with the communities that it affects.

She is interested in using her service year to cultivate relationships between community members and the nature that surrounds them, expand community science efforts, and work to make natural spaces more inclusive.

Jenna is so excited to be of service to two wonderful conservation organizations!
