Thanks to the generosity of the [Helen Ellis Trust], Banks of America, N.A., Trustee, Allens Pond is hosting a free program series from April through early November!

Nature Discovery & STEAM programs are hands-on, nature-based experiences designed for children ages 3-5 to attend with a caregiver. Kids will create art, participate in STEM activities, listen to stories, and explore the outdoors. Each week has its own theme that focuses on sensory development and environmental conservation.

Registration

All programs are free, but pre-registration is required due to COVID regulations*. Please include all children and all accompanying adults in your registration to ensure compliance with COVID mandates regarding group size limits.

In addition to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we want to allow a wider audience to participate in these free programs. We therefore ask that all families:

  • Only register for sessions you know you will attend.
  • Sign up for just one session per topic. While each topic is offered on multiple dates, the information and activities will be the same in all sessions.
  • If you cannot attend a session you registered for, please let us know as early as possible so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
  • Dress for the weather and come prepared to hike outside! Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate layers. Depending on the forecast, consider bringing sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and/or a water bottle.

*Mass Audubon programs are conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon COVID-19 protocols, including mandatory face coverings and physical distancing guidelines.
