Nature Inside Out — Virtual Spring Vacation Week
Go Wild This Vacation Week!
From April 19–23, we're taking the Mass Audubon vacation week experience online! Kids ages 5–8 can enjoy a fun and educational spring vacation program without leaving your neighborhood.
Mass Audubon educators will lead you through nature-themed songs, games, movement activities, crafts, and science experiments, all designed for online learning.
You can sign up for all five days of virtual fun or pick individual sessions to attend.
Register by Friday, April 16!
Daily Nature Themes
Monday–Friday • 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Each day of virtual vacation week revolves around a different nature-based theme that will guide our activities and explorations.
What makes a mammal different from a bird or an insect or a fish? What is your favorite mammal? Learn what makes a mammal such a cool creature and discover different mammals that might live near you!
Bark, branches, stumps, and twigs—learn about all things trees as we study the forest ecosystem. Study how animals use trees, how humans use trees, and how some trees can be harmed or helped by humans.
Wednesday—Birds of Spring
It's April, which means there are birds on the move! What is it called when a bird spends different seasons in different places? Learn about different types of birds and what makes them special.
You CAN make a difference! Celebrate Earth Day by learning about how to keep our Earth healthy in a changing climate. Learn about the differences between weather and climate, and even try to create your own solar oven.
Friday—Herps & Fish
Learn all about "cold-blooded vertebrates" like frogs, fish, and snakes. We may even get to meet a cold-blooded creature that calls Mass Audubon home!
