About This Position
Help us keep our Visitors Center looking good! Duties will include general cleaning, and stocking of supplies as well as dump runs. Mowing, carpentry and other handyman tasks as well as gardening and plant removal.
Energetic people of all ages needed to help with a variety of ecological management projects facility and property work at Long Pasture and Ashumet Holly Wildlife Sanctuaries. Ability to use hand tools and mowing equipment, and to work without supervision is expected. Some tasks may require heavy lifting.
Projects include field habitat restoration, invasive tree and shrub removal, ornamental tree care and a variety of trail work including mowing and other projects that aid in attracting and managing wildlife.
All volunteers must pass a background records check ; CORI, SORI and drivers (if driving is required to volunteer).
Mass Audubon requires that all staff, regardless of their work location, disclose their vaccination status. Proof of vaccination status will be required immediately upon hire. This should also include a booster shot if it has been 5 months since you were initially vaccinated.
