Online Collections Project

Greta Russell

We are excited to be on the brink of sharing the highlights of our art collection online. In September we welcomed Greta Russell to manage the migration of our 30-year-old art collection database to a Cloud-based collections management system. Not only will this new system extend the online audience for MABA, but behind the scenes it will provide staff with significant additional functionality for tracking data and documents relating to collection artworks. This important initiative was made possible through a gift from Kathleen Emrich and Robert Sherwood.

Greta has an impressive museum career, most recently serving for six years as senior registrar at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, WY. Among many other responsibilities there, she administered the Center’s collection management system and online collections, and provided training for the forty staff users.
