Welcome to the public demo version of Mass Audubon's webLIS, an online tool for storing and retrieving information about your land holdings. webLIS allows widely distributed staff to access one database of information from any internet connected web browser, even on mobile devices. Details on any land transaction are available with a few mouse clicks. Satellite offices, board members, and volunteers can quickly find legal documents, surveys, monitoring reports and documentary photos. And critical documents are stored in a password-protected, backed-up, centralized database. Mass Audubon has developed this tool for our own use, and through our Ecological Extension Service we can develop and host a webLIS for your organization. For more information, please contact Jeff Collins at jcollins@massaudubon.org or 781-259-2159.
This public demo version of webLIS allows you to explore the tool with a subset of our own wildlife sanctuaries. To use webLIS, click on a parcel in the map window to return information on transactions related to that parcel. Expand a transaction heading to see details on grantor, acquisition date, etc. Use the hyperlinks to open legal documents and maps (sample documents only in this version). Then click on the 'Photopoints' button to display the documentary photo map. Click on a red photopoint to view multiple documentary photographs taken at that point. Use the "Zoom to..." drop down to jump to another wildlife sanctuary.
