Author and Chef Event: Boston Homegrown Cookbook – September 20

Boston Homegrown CookbookThis program has been canceled.

The Boston Homegrown Cookbook: Local Food, Local Restaurants, Local Recipes
celebrates the important connection between chefs and local food producers. Through profiles of Boston-area chefs and the farmers, cheesemakers, fishermen, and other producers they work with, Boston Homegrown tells the story of the role chefs have played in supporting the growth of Greater Boston's local food system.

Divided by season, the featured chefs provided seasonal recipes for everything from asparagus soup and rhubarb upside-down cake to seared scallops and farro salad. It's a delicious look at an exciting food community.

On Thursday, September 20 at 7 pm, Chef Tim Wiechmann of Cambridge’s TW Food restaurant will join the author Leigh Belanger and Matt Celona, Drumlin Farm Crops Manager, to present an informative and edible demonstration of eating locally and sustainably.

Fee: $10 Members; $15 Nonmembers
