Description
How many native turtles are there? Which ones are endangered? Learn about these ancient creatures that have been with us since the time of dinosaurs, see turtle shell specimens, and meet a live turtle.
Wachusett Meadow's homeschool programs offer a friendly, cooperative learning environment for school-aged children! Each class will incorporate hiking and outdoor exploration and hands-on games and activities. Instructors will promote observation of our local wildlife as an essential skill. At the end of all programs, students will receive follow-up information and activities so the learning can continue at home.
Classes will be held outdoors except for extreme inclement weather. Health forms are required for drop-off students. Families are always welcome to remain on the sanctuary.
Homeschool Classes for ages 5-7 and 12-16-year olds meet at the same time.
We look forward to learning with you!
