Description
Enjoy a weekend of birdwatching and nature observation on a beautiful rockbound island off the coast of Maine. Located 10 miles offshore, Monhegan Island is not only remote and enchanting, but it also serves as an important resting stopover for migrating songbirds including a variety of wood warblers, vireos, flycatchers, and more. See migrating hawks, falcons, and eagles as they fly over and around the island putting on incredible aerial displays. We will explore a variety of habitats including a freshwater pond, a coniferous forest, and a rocky shoreline, revealing a wide diversity of species. We will stay at the charming Monhegan House, a guest house since 1870 situated in the heart of the village.
