Connecticut Spring Weekend

Description

Eastern Connecticut has many of the top birding locations in the state. Birds that are difficult to find in Massachusetts breed in some of the vast state and local parks. We will cover a variety of habitats-freshwater and coastal marshes, fields, rivers, and upland forest-in search of early spring migrants and the breeding species of the state. One bonus aspect of the trip will be the opportunity to hear and learn birdsongs, as many species will be vocalizing to attract mates and define breeding territories.
