Homeschool - Ecologists: Spring Ponding

Description

What lives in the water around us? Search for some macroinvertebrates (insects you can see with your eyes) and signs of amphibians that live in different places on the sanctuary. Learn their names, their life cycles, what special features let them live underwater, and why they are important for a healthy ecosystem.

Broad Meadow Brook's homeschool programs offer a friendly, cooperative learning environment for school-aged children! Each class will incorporate hiking and outdoor exploration, hands-on games and activities. Each class will promote observation of our local wildlife as an essential skill. At the end of all programs, students will receive follow-up information and activities so the learning can continue at home.

Classes will be held outdoors except for extreme inclement weather. Health forms are required for drop off students. Families are always welcome to remain at the sanctuary.
