The Allens Pond Duck Derby Rides Again!

Join our sixth annual Duck Derby to support Allens Pond on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (Rain date August 16th, 2009).
You can participate by adopting a duck —or a flock — on race day!
Last year's race was a huge success, and loads of fun! Read about the 2008 winner's trip!
Adopt your duck on race day, at the event - August 15th until 1:30 pm.
Race Day Schedule
Join the fun on race day: bring the whole family! The event (1:30 pm to 3:30 pm) will be held at the Sanctuary by the Field Station on Horseneck Road and will include the Race broadcast, silent auction, barbeque ($5 per person), music, children's art exhibit, games, crafts, and displays about the Sanctuary's wildlife and activities.
The ducks will paddle on the incoming tide from Buzzards Bay starting at approximately 2:00 pm. The race takes place a distance from the event and near sensitive bird habitat. The first 40 people to sign up will join our guides for the 1.5-mile walk to observe the race.
Grand prize winner will be called soon after the race is completed. You do not have to attend the event to win a prize.
