Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary - Volunteer Energetic group and individual volunteers needed!
Location: Belmont, MA Projects:
- Carpentry and small construction
- Hand tool and machine maintenance
- Plant and tree identification
- Invasives removal - pull buckthorn, bittersweet and more
- Tree pruning
- Gardening, composting, and watering
- GPS mapping
- Photography
- Baking
Have fun with others on scheduled volunteer days. Earn community service hours. We supply tools and instruction, no experience necessary.
Tuesday Trail Days
Help maintain the property, cut and haul brush, remove invasive plants, rake and clear pathways. Great for groups.
Wednesday Pulling Partners 2:30 - 4:30pm
All ages join to plant trees, remove invasive plants, chip trails and rejuvenate pond, field, and forest habitats.
Thursday Morning Garden Group 9:30am - noon
Learn gardening tips and techniques while working with others to plant, weed, prune, and nurture Habitat‘s beautiful estate gardens.
