Conferences

Habitat offers a unique, natural setting for business meetings and conferences. This facility is also available for weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and other weekend rentals.

Our Visitors’ Center, built as a private estate in 1914, houses an art gallery and natural history library. Guests are able to enjoy Habitat’s formal gardens and trails during breaks.

The facilities available include a large, sunny meeting room (750 square feet) with fireplace, two additional breakout rooms and a kitchen. In addition, a library with a seating capacity of approximately 15 is occasionally available. There is an outside garden and patio available for use, weather permitting.

Types of Functions: Conferences, retreats, and other weekday meetings. Also available for weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and other weekend rentals.
Maximum Capacity: Due to parking limitations and other activities at the sanctuary, the total number of people that may be accommodated for daytime conferences is 35
Availability: Nature Center/Trail Hours:
Visitor Center: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rates: Full day $500, half-day (up to 4 hours) $300.
Food Storage/Prep: Food may be served but not prepared on site. Refrigerator is available for conference use.
Parking: Onsite parking available for a maximum of 15 cars.
A/V Equipment: Slide and overhead projectors, screens, dry erase board/easel, VCR and monitor.
Additional Amenities: Use of tables and chairs is included in the standard rental fee. Tables and chairs can be set up to your specifications. Tablecloths are not provided. Guided walks on the sanctuary can be arranged at no extra cost.

Please note: Responsibility for clean-up lies solely with the applicant. The areas used by the applicant must be left in the same condition as they were found. Habitat does not allow the use of alcoholic beverages at its conference rentals and prohibits smoking inside the building.
