Harbor Seal Cruise Sponsored by Joppa Flats Education Center Sun, Jul 08, 2012 8:45 am - 10:45 am Location: Merrimack River Instructor: Lisa Hutchings - Joppa Flats School and Youth Education Coordinator Audience: Family (suitable for children 3 - 12 years) Members: Adult $20.00, Child $16.00 Nonmembers: Adult $27.00, Child $19.00 Join Lisa Hutchings and the crew of the Yankee Clipper for an exciting exploration of the lower Merrimack River ecosystem. Each month will feature a specific theme with hands-on science, interactive props, and seasonal wildlife. We'll also look for seabirds, seals, and waterfowl on every trip. Your family will have a wonderful time cruising and learning about this vital part of the area's natural history. The Yankee Clipper is US Coast Guard inspected and licensed and has life jackets and a marine toilet for your convenience. All children must be accompanied by adults. The deadline for preregistering for this program is 4:00 pm on the day before the program. We will run this program in all weather except thunderstorms or small craft warnings. Sunday, June 16: Father's Day Tide Pool Cruise Saturday, July 27: Harbor Seal Cruise Sunday, August 4: River to the Sea Ecology Cruise Instructions and Directions: Meet at the Newburyport boardwalk 15 minutes before departure time. Bring extra clothing and binoculars. Joppa Flats Cancellation Policy: Please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your program if you must cancel. If you cancel less than 24 hours ahead, we can only offer a refund or credit if we subsequently fill your space.
