Art Exhibit at Arcadia Featuring Jan Ruby-Crystal
November 29, 2023
Exhibit Open December 1, 2023 - January 30, 2024
Visit Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary to see an art exhibit of small and large landscapes by local artist Jan Ruby-Crystal. Through graphite, colored pencils, pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paints, Jan captures the landscapes that inspire her.
Speaking of her inspirations, Jan notes, “I am intrigued by life…the tip of a human ear when light passes through it, the stand of soldier trees bending and twisting as they arch against the seasons, the withering foliage evolving into ever more elegant and uniquely individual forms as life leaves them, colors that grow deeper and richer on a beloved face. These are the kinds of things that call me to make an artistic response.”
Stop by Arcadia during business hours from December 1, 2023-January 30, 2024 to see her work on display and available for purchase.
Opening Reception
Join us on Sunday, December 10, 2:00-4:00 pm for our opening reception featuring a greeting from the artist at 2:30 pm.
