Make Your Own Six-Sided Snowflake

This activity is just one part of the Young Explorers page featured in the Winter 2019 issue of Explore.

Follow these steps to make your very own paper snow crystal:

  1. Start with a white piece of paper, cut into a circle.
  2. Fold the circle in half.
  3. Fold the half circle into thirds so that it looks like a slice of pie.
  4. With scissors, make cuts on all the edges of the pie slice.
  5. Carefully unfold your six-sided snow crystal!
