
Fran
Hutchinson (director)
Fran has been teaching at Habitat since 1985 and was one of the
founding
teachers of Nursery School Naturalists in Fall 1994. She has a BSc in
Biochemistry from the Australian National University and an MS in Early
Childhood Education from Wheelock. Her relationship with Habitat began
when she
brought her children to classes here. One is now a lawyer in New York
City and
the other is pursuing a PhD in music composition in Eugene, Oregon. She
especially likes exuberant children, slimy or scaly animals, and being
outside.

Julie King
Julie King has a BA from Brown University and Masters degrees from the
University of Connecticut and Salem State College. She has
been
involved with Habitat since she took the guided walk leader training
program
over 9 years ago. Since then she has worked in camp, home school,
kindergarten
naturalists, and nursery school. She loves children and nature
and is
happy to be combining these loves here at Habitat!
Erika
Whitworth
Erika Whitworth has a BA from Boston University and a Masters in
Education and
teaching certification from Harvard. She has worked at Habitat since
2000 as a
guided walk leader and as an instructor for camp and public and school
programs
and coordinated after-school outreach programs for three years. She
lives in
Belmont with her husband, two teenage boys, and an energetic dog. As a
family,
they enjoy camping, hiking, and paddling (canoe & kayak). She
enjoys crafts
– especially when she can get messy with kids-, photography, and scaly
&
boneless creatures.
