Published: September 28, 2012
Open Call for Entries is announced for two juried exhibits in 2012 and 2013. We are now accepting entries for both the Snow and Ice & Unexpected and Unique in Nature exhibits.
The Snow and Ice art exhibit will show in late 2012 and early 2013. Snow and ice are part of our winter life in New England, very simple, yet very complex. These elements have a profound effect on our daily life, but, in pure artistic and visual terms; it can provoke truly magnificent, fascinating, powerful or fragile perceptions. Artists are asked to submit work that engages the viewer with their interpretations and inspirations focusing on snow and ice. Deadline to Submit for this show: October 25, 2012.
Unexpected and Unique in Nature will be exhibited during the winter of 2013. Artists are invited to submit artwork based on concepts, ideas or reflections inspired by nature resulting in unique and/or unexpected artwork. Realistic or abstract, commanding or gentle, vivid or transparent: how do you express the intrigue, beauty, wonderment or any insights found in nature? Deadline to Submit for this show: December 1, 2012.
Application Procedure: Any medium is acceptable. The criteria for choosing the artist will include treatment of the subject matter, its relevance to nature, command of their individual craft and the ability to engage the viewer. An artist can exhibit alone or in collaboration. Outdoor temporary artwork is also encouraged and will be displayed on our grounds.
