Young Shutterbugs Wanted!
Published: February 24, 2012
The Wachusett Meadow Camera Club is a youth group that shares a love of photography and a desire to learn more about it. The group originated from people who attended Nature Photography Summer Day Camp at Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary.
We are a fledgling group that started in the fall of 2011. We do not have a set meeting schedule although we usually meet twice a month on Saturday afternoon at Wachusett Meadow. We go hiking with our cameras while learning about photography and sharing our passion.
We are using our images to create greeting cards and bookmarks to sell in the gift shop. We are also planning to create multi-media shows to be used by Mass Audubon for use in promotion of various activities.
Most of our members are teens but we are open to anyone with a passion for photography. You do not need a fancy camera to enjoy our group, just a desire to have fun while enjoying the outdoors. The group is led by Wildlife photographer Gail Hansche Godin. Adults interested in helping out are also welcome.
