All Person's Trail Audio Tour Available April 1 - November 30
Published: September 1, 2009
Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary's All Person's Trail is a one-quarter mile loop trail that offers a microcosm of the sanctuary's field, forest, and wetland habitats to everyone. The wide path through the woods and the boardwalk through Indian Brook marsh accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, and baby strollers. Broadmoor's cell phone tours of the All Person's Trail in spring and autumn provide people who are blind or who have difficulty seeing with a seasonal, self-guided, audio interpretation of the trail, offering truly universal access. There are twelve stops along the All Person's Trail that describe the sounds, smells, and sights of Broadmoor. The narration portion of the cell phone tour takes about 60-70 minutes. There is no time limit for walking the trail, but many people take an hour and a half or more to fully enjoy the experience. We hope our interpretive cell phone tour encourages everyone to make an in-depth, sensory exploration of the nature of Broadmoor and come away with a heightened sense of wonder.
