Wellfleet Bay provides peace and unmatched beauty on the hillsides and shoreline overlooking Wellfleet Harbor. Extensive trails bring you to a panoramic salt marsh, sandy barrier beach, and pine woodlands, each attracting a wide array of wildlife. A new film chronicling the historic 2014 sea turtle cold-stun stranding season at Wellfleet Bay will make its world premiere Saturday, January 14, at the Cape Cinema in Dennis. The documentary will be followed by a panel discussion. There will also be an opportunity to meet the filmmakers at a special event at the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
Join Wellfleet Bay for sociable and educational birding talks this winter. The program series, which kicks off with Cheep Eats: Fantastic Feeder Birds, will offer armchair birding and a cheap lunch—because you're invited to bring your own brown bag! Warm beverages and sweet treats will be provided.
Wellfleet Bay's science coordinator, Mark Faherty, has been to East Africa twice. To say he’s excited about returning this winter to lead a Mass Audubon trip is definitely an understatement!
