Do you love the outdoors?
Do you love working with kids?
Join us on Cape Cod this summer! As a counselor at our Natural History Day Camp, you'll teach natural history full-time to children ranging in age from preschoolers to eighth graders.
All counselors will work with a partner to develop, plan, and implement natural history lessons for campers enrolled in our themed one-week sessions. You may also be called upon to lead public programs for families on sanctuary property or off-site.
At our camp in South Wellfleet, you'll guide campers as they investigate the woodlands, marsh, and coastline of the 937-acre landscape at our wildlife sanctuary. Some counselors will take campers on off-site field trips such as hikes, snorkeling trips, kayaking adventures, and other natural history excursions.
Counselors at our camp in Chatham will lead campers in exploring trails, discovering tidal flats, catching frogs, experimenting with science, dabbling in art, and venturing to new places around Chatham Elementary School. You'll take campers age 5–13 on off-site field trips related to the theme of their one-week session; field trips might include snorkeling, whale watching, and hiking excursions.
So if you have an enthusiasm for outdoor exploration, an interest in science- or nature-based education, and enjoy working with children in a supportive environment, then we invite you to apply for one of our summer camp counselor positions. Together, we'll bring fun and learning to our campers on the Cape!
