Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary
Wachusett Meadow is a former farmstead that offers spectacular scenery and supports abundant wildlife throughout woodlands, wetlands, and meadows. Historic buildings and barns are still in use for educational programming and resident sheep graze pastures. Trails traverse many landscape features including Brown Hill Summit, Glacial Boulder, ancient trees, and beaver ponds. Read more >

Play is the natural work of children. Wachusett Meadow’s Nature Adventures for Young Folks preschool program allows children to do what they do naturally—spend time outdoors learning, exploring the wonders of nature, building friendships and developing a deeper sense of place.
On January 21, elementary school-aged children can join trainers for a free 90-minute Leave No Trace workshop at either Wachusett Meadow or Broad Meadow Brook.
