Ellen Jedrey, Assistant Director - Ellen Jedrey has worked with birds in threatened coastal ecosystems for 12 years. Since 2000, she has monitored and managed Piping Plovers and Least Terns across southeastern Massachusetts, which included training and coordination of up to 30 seasonal staff annually. Since 2004, Ellen has worked within Mass Audubon to develop partnerships with multiple local, state, federal, and private landowners, which has resulted in increased conservation and management for imperiled coastal birds in Massachusetts. More recently, she has helped to lead regional efforts to protect American Oystercatchers and post-breeding Roseate Terns. In addition, she has led Mass Audubon’s project to develop partnerships in the Bahamas to protect wintering Piping Plovers and their habitats.
