Salt Marsh Discovery Walk

Find the hidden creatures of the salt marsh - including fiddler crabs, shrimp, and snails - as we explore with nets and buckets. You may get wet and muddy!
We'll begin our walk at the nature center, and continue down the Goose Pond Trail. When we reach the salt marsh, we'll explore independently and gather together again to take a closer look at all of the animals we've caught.
We invite children as young as four years old to join us on this excursion. Parents, please note that we rely on your judgment of the suitability of this walk for your child(ren). We encourage you to consider your child's previous experiences in similar conditions.
Instructions and Directions: Pre-registration required. Please arrive and check-in 10 minutes before the start of the program. We recommend that you dress for the weather and bring sunscreen and drinking water. Wear comfortable walking shoes that you won’t mind getting muddy or wet. To protect your feet from sharp shells, we require everyone to keep their shoes on at all times; Tevas, Crocs, and aquasocks are good choices. This program includes sanctuary admission for the remainder of the day.
Please note our cancellation policy: In order to receive a refund, you must notify us of your cancellation at least 7 days before the program begins. If we cancel the program, you will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to change programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel programs due to unfavorable weather.
