Early Winter Birds of Ipswich River
Sponsored by Ipswich River

Sun, Dec 06, 2009 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Instructors: Warren Tatro - Birder-Naturalist; Chris Sullivan - Birder-Naturalist
Audience: Adult
Fee: Adults $10.00m/ $12.00nm

Take some quiet time before the holiday rush begins to enjoy an early-morning bird walk. Birds we may see include great horned owls, red-tailed hawks, pileated woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, and more. There's always the possibility of winter finches, saw-whet owls, and other northern visitors. If the freshwater marshes and ponds are still open, we'll stop to scan for wintering ducks and lingering herons.

Instructions and Directions: Meets in front of the Visitor Center. Bring binoculars and a field guide to birds, and dress for the weather. Rain date: Sunday, December 13.

Registration is required.

Register by mail: program registration form. (PDF 66K)
Register by phone: with a credit card by calling 978-887-9264.
