Watercolor Illustration: A Color Focus Study on Nature
Sponsored by Joppa Flats

Sat, Apr 25, 2009 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Instructor: Gina Lee Kim - Artist
Audience: Adult
Fee: Adults $20.00m/ $26.00nm

Have you ever wanted to capture on paper the crimson red of a northern cardinal or the lush green foliage of a New England forest? Imagine painting the vibrant violets of a field of irises or the subtle neutrals of shorebirds and sand dunes. With a little guidance, you can learn to capture Mother Nature's colors through the liquid tones of watercolor painting.

In this fun and creative workshop we'll go step by step through the entire prismatic color wheel, and you will choose the subject. While learning about color and keeping paint hues pure, you will also learn about preliminary pencil sketching. Register for one or more of the four sessions. All skill levels are welcome. A supply list can be found at www.ginaleekim.com.

Instructions and Directions: Meet at the Joppa Flats Education Center. Please bring all your paints and a sketchbook for practice sketching and note taking.

Registration is required.
