Hike Sandy Neck: From Ospreys and Piping Plovers to Diamondback Terrapins

Location: Sandy Neck Beach, East Sandwich
Instructor: Chris Walz - Property Manager
Audience: All (suitable for children 0 - 18 years)
Members: Adult $6.00, Child free
Nonmembers: Adult $8.00, Child free

Walk along the salt marsh, dunes and beach seeking signs of wildlife from wading shorebirds to mammal tracks to swooping swallows. Sandy Neck is full of surprises.

Instructions and Directions: Take Route 6 to exit 5. Head north on Route 149 towards West Barnstable. Travel one mile to the end of the road at the intersection of Routes 149 and 6A. Take a left on Route 6A and travel 2.5 miles. Next take a right on Sandy Neck Road (across from Amari Restaurant). The Sandy Neck Gatehouse is at the end of Sandy Neck Road (425 Sandy Neck Road, West Barnstable).
