Chickadee Birders Club: Owl Residents of Drumlin Farm
Sponsored by Drumlin Farm

Sat, Jan 09, 2010 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Instructor: Becky Gilles
Audience: Children (suitable for children ages 7 - 11 yrs)
Fee: Children $20.00m/ $25.00nm

Join us for a hike through the woods in search of owls that live in the habitats of our sanctuary: great-horned, barred, and screech. Afterwards, we'll move indoors for a close look at these same species, courtesy of our captive, non-releasable owls.

The Chickadee Birders Club at Drumlin Farm is for children ages 7-11 (or grades 2-5). We will introduce elementary age children to the basics of birding, bird life, and seasonal migration through talks, activities, and field trips. Birding is a lifelong skill that can lead to a greater overall interest in the outdoors and the environment as a whole.

Fee covers one child with one adult. See Sep 27, Oct 31, Nov 22, and Jan 9.

Instructions and Directions: Park in our main parking lot. Meets in the Pond House, the small blue building across the circular drive from the Audubon Shop.

Registration is required.

Register by mail: program registration form. (PDF 66K)
Register by phone: with a credit card by calling 781-259-2200.
For your own security, DO NOT send credit card information via email.
