Extraordinary Eggs: Tuesday, July 7
Birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects all lay eggs. We'll read An Egg is Quiet by Diana Hutts Aston, and discover the different sizes and colors of eggs. We will examine some of these amazing creatures and their eggs, and then head outside to take a closer look. Using pressed plants, we will decorate an egg.

Wondrous Wetlands: Tuesday, July 14
Find out what it takes to be a wetland creature such as a dragonfly as we read Are You a Dragonfly? by Judy Allen and Tudor Humphries. We'll take a hike to explore a wetland, and using buckets and strainers we will look for critters that fly, swim, and soar.

Recycled Homes: Tuesday, July 21
We'll read A Grand Old Tree by Mary Newell DePalma and explore the many creatures that call a tree home. We will use our observation and detective skills as we go for a walk and examine trees up close with hand lenses to determine who might be calling this tree home.

Seeds: Tuesday, July 28
Join us as we discover the different sizes, shapes, and colors that seeds come in while we read A Seed Is Sleepy by Dianna Hutts Aston. We will go on a seed scavenger hunt to see what seeds we can find and to explore the different ways seeds are dispersed.
