About the Teams

There are 25 Bird-a-thon teams, each supporting an individual sanctuary, a group of sanctuaries, or a Mass Audubon program. The teams are vying to see:

  • which team can spot the most bird species in one day
  • which team can raise the most money for their sanctuary or program

Team can have up to 50 members. Some of the teams are already full; some teams are still in need of members who can be birders, fundraisers, or both! Many teams welcome new birders to take part in the Bird-a-thon event.  To find out more, call 781-259-9500 or a sanctuary near you, or e-mail Bird-a-thon.
