Land Protection Staff

Bob Wilber
Director of Land Protection

Bob has been working on land conservation statewide in Massachusetts for 25+ years. He joined the team at Mass Audubon in 2000, after working in similar capacities for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management (now DCR), and the Massachusetts Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.

Bob is the current chairman of the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition, and lives in Stow, where he is on the Board of Directors of the Stow Conservation Trust, and the Open Space and Community Preservation Committees.

In addition to his passion for land conservation, Bob enjoys hiking, fishing, and coaching a youth hockey team.

John Coolidge
Stewardship Specialist

John joined Mass Audubon in 2005, as our Conservation Easement Stewardship Specialist. Prior to Mass Audubon, he’d worked in the Dot Com world in Software Quality Assurance for close to 30 years.

In his free time he serves as a Trustee of several land trusts both in Massachusetts & New Hampshire, helping them with their Land Protection & Stewardship responsibilities. For the past 20+ years, John has been serving as an elected member of the Hopkinton Planning Board; he also is the current Chair of both the Open Space Preservation Commission and the Community Preservation Commission (CPC) for the town.

John is an avid sailor, enjoys hiking, canoeing and working outside.

Bob Ford
Land Protection Specialist

Bob is a real estate and land use attorney specializing in land conservation. Prior to joining Mass Audubon in 2007, he represented private landowners, cities and towns, and land trusts in various conservation transactions and served as the Director of Land Protection for Sudbury Valley Trustees.

In his spare time, Bob serves as an elected Planning Board member and Conservation Commissioner in his hometown of Boxford, assists with the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition Attorney Advisory Panel, and enjoys hiking, canoeing, and fishing.

Dinah Rowbotham
Land Protection Program Assistant

Dinah began working for Mass Audubon in September 2008, bringing with her four years of land protection experience as a program manager of a farmland preservation program in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.She also has experience in event planning and program administration, and enjoys the diversity of tasks and responsibilities within her role as Land Protection Program Assistant.

Dinah is a nature lover who enjoys hiking, biking, and gardening.

Charlie Wyman
Senior Land Protection Specialist

Charlie joined Mass Audubon in 2003, after 15 years working in land protection at The Trustees of Reservations and four years as conservation administrator in his hometown of Lexington. A native of Massachusetts, he loves working throughout the state on land protection, with most of his work focused now on the Connecticut River Valley, Worcester County and southeastern Massachusetts.

In his off-hours he serves as a member of the Lexington Conservation Commission, is active in his church, and enjoys hiking and travel with his family.
