Family Camping
Family camping for members of Massachusetts Audubon Society offers the natural world of the Sanctuary for exploration and enjoyment. It does not offer many of the perquisites of recreational camping. MAS membership must predate camping by one year. Facilities: 20 sites, restrooms with flush toilets and hot-water showers; picnic tables and trash barrels. Open: Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend.
RATES: In Season (3rd Saturday in July to Saturday before Labor Day) - $260/week. Camping is on a weekly basis. Check-in between 12 noon and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Check-out before 12 noon on the following Saturday.
Off Season (before 3rd Saturday in July, and after Saturday before Labor Day ) - $35/night. Camping is on a per night basis. Check-in between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and check-out before noon.
RESERVATIONS:
Reservations must be accompanied by payment in full in advance. See below for information about reservation forms. Otherwise, check by telephone (508-349-2615) two days before desired arrival. If space is available, it will be held for you.
REFUNDS: Three weeks notice in writing is necessary for a refund. Rates include a $10 non-refundable reservation fee.
NOTE WELL: Arriving campers must check in during the hours stated above. No exceptions. Campers must check-in at the office before setting up on a campsite. The Sanctuary's main gate will be locked at night and keys will be available to campers for a deposit of $5.00, refundable when key is returned at time of check-out. Check-out time is before 12 noon.
NOT PERMITTED: Open fires, pets, hard-top trailers, large vans and truck bed units. (Camping trailers with tent-fabric extensions and small vans like VW are permitted.) Limit of two cars and one family per campsite.
Massachusetts Audubon sanctuaries charge an admission fee for non-members, and this includes non-member visitors to your campsite during the day. Overnight visitors are not allowed.
