Eldredge Farm in Harwich will provide you with fresh local produce each week for 20 weeks. You can use some of the weeks this season and finish up your weeks in 2012, or opt for the full 20 weeks during the 2012 season—your choice! Imagine having fresh herbs and salad field greens all season, plus tomatoes, squash, potatoes, pumpkins, beets, carrots, and much more—all locally and naturally grown. You’ll pick up your produce weekly at the farm.

Here is an age-worthy collection of fine wines spanning both the old and the new world, including France, Italy, California, and Australia. These rare and collectable large format bottles will be a beautiful addition to an established cellar, or a dream come true for a budding wine enthusiast. This stunning collection is meant to age, and each bottle can be shared and showcased individually with your family and friends on those special occasions.

A Week in the Netherlands

Amsterdam’s charming canals, historical monuments, and prestigious museums are world-renowned. But did you know that Amsterdam’s spirit stretches far beyond the city limits? The surrounding area is a thriving metropolis with much to see and do. Enjoy seven nights in your own two-bedroom apartment in the hamlet of Bussum, a direct 20-minute rail trip to Amsterdam center with easy rail connections to all of Holland, Bruges, Ghent, and the rest of Europe. Oil Painting, Provincetown Dunes by Wellfleet Artist Heather Pilchard

The inspiration for this lovely oil painting came when the artist experienced a week at the Peaked Hill Trust dune shacks in Provincetown. In her paintings, Heather Pilchard challenges herself to create an illusion of space using color and minimal details. By layering the paint in thin undercoats, the painting surface glows with life. Heather is an accomplished painter, photographer, bookbinder, and teacher.

A Day of Birding on South Monomoy with Vernon Laux and Bob Prescott

Vernon Laux, well-known ornithologist and NPR “Bird News” host, and Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary Director Bob Prescott will be your expert guides for a day of birding on South Monomoy. You and up to eight of your friends will travel by boat from Chatham to South Monomoy, one of the remote barrier beach areas that make up the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge. If you are interested in shorebirds, waterfowl, and terns, this is one of the most exciting places you can visit in the Northeast, especially during the late summer and fall. This item includes a copy of The Shorebirds of North America, text by Peter Matthiessen and paintings by Robert Verity Clem.

It was originally part of The Ancient Mariner collection of diverse media works in which Russell tells the story of the horseshoe crab’s natural history and its complex role in the natural and human world.

Bids for Kids (and Families)

Last year at Wild, Wild Wellfleet, Bids for Kids offered a wonderful chance to raise our hands in support of a new initiative at Wellfleet Bay to help local children and their families participate in a wide variety of the sanctuary’s nature programs. Your “Bids for Kids” will provide opportunities and funding for nature day camp scholarships, environmental education in the local schools, and year-round nature programs for local kids and families. Help our Cape kids and families discover the nature of Cape Cod and of wild, wild Wellfleet!
