Solar Energy at Wellfleet Bay
Wellfleet Bay has two ground mounted solar arrays, which allow the sanctuary to to produce much of its own electricity from renewable sources, and solar thermal systems for the campground, dormitories and nature center hot water needs.

In the spring of 2010 Wellfleet installed solar thermal systems for the campground, dormitories and nature center to cover all of its domestic hot water needs.
