Rent Snowshoes at Wachusett Meadow We have the cure for cabin fever. Come snowshoe at Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary! Snowshoeing is a great winter activity that provides good exercise and a chance to explore the great outdoors during a beautiful season.
We make it easy and inexpensive. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Rent snowshoes here at the sanctuary anytime the Visitor’s Center is open. We rent snowshoes in all sizes, child to adult. Rates are $2/hour for members, $4/hour for nonmembers.
Explore over 12 miles of sanctuary trails on snowshoes and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the winter woods. Cross-country skiing is also allowed on designated trails.
Occasionally, snowshoes may not be available because they are being used in a public snowshoeing program. We recommend you call ahead to check on availability: 978-464-2712.
For added fun, plan to participate in a public snowshoeing program, led by a naturalist:
