Volunteering with Mass Audubon
Wachusett Meadow offers a variety of exciting volunteer opportunities and internships for people of all interests and experience levels. Volunteers are valued members of the Mass Audubon team and provide an important link to our local communities. Whether you have a lifetime interest in nature or are just getting started, Wachusett Meadow has a place for you.

Volunteer

Property/Ecological Management Volunteers
Location: Princeton, MA

Every Tuesday 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (or later), and/or the 3rd Saturday of every month 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.:
Help care for the sanctuary and enjoy a few hours of fresh air, fun and fulfillment. Come once, or come every week and become part of our growing group of volunteers. These positions assist a wide variety of property, maintenance, and ecological management projects such as buildings and grounds work, trail clearing, wildlife monitoring, and animal care. Independent, seasonal projects are also available. Tuesdays: ages 16 & up, Saturday: all ages welcome but children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitor Services/Receptionist Volunteers
Location: Princeton, MA

Are you friendly, outgoing, professional and reliable? We are looking for volunteers to staff our Reception Desk Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and Sundays 12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Choose a 2 or 4-hour work shift. This position includes greeting visitors, answering the phone, and various office maintenance and administrative projects. A weekly commitment and a comfort with computers is helpful. Training is provided.
