Pierpont Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary

Bird the shrubby successional habitats along the cart path for towhees, catbirds, sparrows and warblers or enjoy a short walk through forest and field. You may see beaver or other wetland mammal and bird species at the small pond on Marsh Road or from the short spur to Pierpont Pond. Members may rent a secluded, cozy cottage located on the sanctuary from May to September. For cottage information call 978-464-2712.

For Your Safety
  • Do not feed any animals
  • Stay on trails
  • Check for ticks after your walk
  • Do not smoke anywhere on the sanctuary
  • Do not pick or collect plants or crops without permission
Avoid Conflicts with Wildlife
  • Do not bring pets, leashed or unleashed, on to the site
  • Do not bring motorized vehicles or bicycles onto the site
  • Hunting, fishing, or trapping are not permitted

Admission:
$3 for nonmember adults;
$2 for nonmember children (2-12) and seniors
Members and residents of Dudley are free. Others please deposit fee in collection box.

Directions:
Take the Mass. Turnpike to exit 10 (Rte I-290/Rte I-395) or from Worcester take Rte I-290 south to Rte. 395. Follow Rte I-395 south to exit 4B to Oxford Center. At the traffic light in Oxford center continue straight onto Charlton Road. Follow Charlton Road for 0.7 miles and take a left on Dudley Road (not Old Dudley Road). Go approximately 3 miles and take a right on Marsh Road (not Henry Marsh Road). The sanctuary is 0.25 miles on your left.
