South Shore Sanctuaries offers a variety of fun and educational nature-based programs for Scout troops, birthdays, homeschools, and more. Hundreds of acres of grassland, woodlands, and wetlands provide opportunities for bird watching, wildlife observation, and trail explorations. Our Discovery Room, bird and butterfly gardens, and nature play areas provide additional learning spaces to connect with nature.

Scout Programs

South Shore Sanctuaries offers programs for all levels of Girl and Boy Scouts. Our qualified educators are available to lead groups, exploring diverse habitats of the wildlife sanctuaries and covering many natural history topics. We can design a program to fulfill the requirements of a specific badge. Programs are offered after school or on weekends and include: Leave No Trace, EcoExplorers, and Sharing Your World with Wildlife. Ask us about opportunities for Eagle or Gold Award projects.

Homeschool Programs

Our programs are designed to encourage children to interact with the environment through nature exploration and science-based learning. Group building activities and games encourage cooperation and having fun in the outdoors. Many of our school and group programs can be adapted to meet the needs of homeschool groups.
