We believe that healthy farming leads to healthy people and a healthy community. This is why Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary has partnered with a local farm to offer nearby residents the opportunity to take part in a summer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). The Moose Hill Community Farm CSA serves many purposes including:

  • Offering organic, locally-grown food to Sharon and neighboring residents.
  • Welcoming families into our fields, in an effort to connect future generations with their food.
  • Supporting Wards Berry Farm and Brambly Farm, local family-run farms.
  • Providing fresh, organic produce to the greater community that does not have access to healthy food via our shareholders.

The Wards brothers are responsible for all of the planting of the crops and Moose Hill takes care of the management, harvesting, and distribution of the crops.

From June to October, shareholders receive on average 10 pounds of produce weekly, including a range of vegetables as well as pick-your-own herbs, fruit, and flowers. In addition, shareholders have the option to sign up for free-range egg share, courtesy of Brambly Farms in Norfolk as well as pick up fresh fish from Cape Ann Fresh Catch out of Gloucester.

Not ready to commit to a CSA? Stop by the farm stand on Saturdays during the growing season, where the general public can purchase organic produce between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
