Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary is 2,265 acres of wetlands, sunny meadows, forests, and the Ipswich River. It is home to salamanders, frogs, and meadow voles. The many different habitats here attract numerous species of birds and mammals.
Our Day Camps Provide:
- A safe environment where children can learn firsthand about the natural world, meet new friends and have fun.
- Trained, qualified staff that provide children with an enjoyable, educational, and noncompetitive camp experience.

Day Camp at Essex County Greenbelt Association’s Cox Reservation, Essex
Come explore a salt marsh that is home to egrets, herons, mummichogs, pickle plants and hermit crabs. Take a boat cruse along the Essex River and learn about the cultural and natural history of the river. Give your child the opportunity to discover the wonders of a salt marsh with experienced adult staff.
Day Camp at the Shore Lea Nature Center, Marblehead
Come explore the forest, field, pond, and coastal communities located within walking distance of
the Shore Lea Nature Center. Hike the Wyman Woods trails, observe turtles in Hawthorn Pond, and
search for herons, egrets, and more at Forest River. Give your child the opportunity to discover these
