The Nursery School Naturalist program is a weekly drop-off enrichment program for 3 to 5 year olds. The program begins indoors, but we go outside every week for about half the session, whatever the weather. It is our belief that children can better form a positive relationship with nature by experiencing it firsthand rather than getting information from television shows or even from objects brought out of nature. The program has been running at Habitat since 1994.

Registration

To enroll a child, please complete the form below and return it with a deposit of $250 by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26. All registrations received by that date will be placed in a lottery and registrations drawn to fill the spots. Notifications will be sent out in early May.

Membership

Mass Audubon membership is required for participation. If you are not currently a member you may join by include payment on the form below.

Payment and Refunds

Deposits of $250 per child are required for the lottery. If you are not chosen in the lottery we will add your child's name to our waitlist and the deposit will be returned. If your child is accepted into the program, balances will be due by August 15. Please contact us for other payment options. You may withdraw from the program at any time and receive the amount minus one week of the remaining classes left. Please call us with any questions you may have.

Sessions and Dates

Session 1 : (For children age 4 by September 1st, 2007)
30 Tuesdays See weeks below 9:30-noon $750

Session 2 : (For children age 3 by September 1st, 2007)
30 Wednesdays See weeks below 10:00-noon $600

Session 3 : (For children age 4 by September 1st, 2007)
30 Thursdays See weeks below 9:30-noon $750

Session 4 : (For children age 3 by September 1st, 2007)
30 Fridays See weeks below 10:00-noon $600

Classes start the week of 9/17 and run the weeks of 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/26, 12/3, 12/10, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27 and end the week of 6/3.
