Off Season, On Island:  Migrate, Hibernate, Adapt!

Friday, November 23, 2012
(raindate: Saturday, November 24, 2012)
11 am – 3 pm

Admission: $4 member, $7 nonmember; children under 3 are free

Join us for our 22nd Annual Fall Festival. This celebration of fall is a Vineyard tradition held the day after Thanksgiving and draws hundreds of islanders and visitors each year. With hayrides, face painting, live music by The Flying Elbows, food, wreath making, and crafts for kids, there is fun to be had by the whole family!

Join us at 9am for a Guided Bird Walk with noted island birder Robert Culbert for a morning bird walk before our annual Fall Festival. Felix Neck’s habitats support a wide variety of birds, from herons to hawks, waders to warblers, and everything in between. All experience levels are welcome. Binoculars are available to borrow.

During the Festival, we will be joined by Marla Isaac of New England Reptile and Raptors. Marla returns to Fall Festival with her birds of prey including turkey vultures, osprey, and a variety of owls. She will have the birds displayed throughout the day and will offer three shows at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm. Be sure to stop by and get up close and personal with one of these amazing raptors!

Volunteers are still needed. If you can help, please call: 508.627.4850
